Seeing inspires Kate Jordahl and she exhibits her enthusiasm and passion for the art of photography in her work. In her travels and photography, she searches for the places where the spirits of the earth and human come together.

Using infrared film and traditional printing techniques, Kate stretches this unusual film and works to move beyond the expected infrared representation to a magical and reverent imaging of the land.

In additon to many group exhibitions, she had featured exhibitions at Vision Gallery, San Francisco, Yamate Gallery, Yokohama, Oliver Hyde Gallery, Fremont and the San Francisco of Modern Artist's Gallery .

Her book Walking with Kandinsky with the Dreaming Mind (Geir Jordahl) was published 2005 and Afternoons with Ruth in 2006. Kate was the recipient of a Congressional Certificate of Recognition honoring leadership and contributions as a teacher and outstanding and invaluable service to the community. in 2005
